Amanda Liszewski

	Amanda Liszewski, 103, of DuBois, passed away at 9:54 a.m. Sunday, July 15, 2001 at the Friendship Manor in Nashville.
	Amanda was a homemaker and the oldest member of St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois.  She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, St. theresa Sodality, Living Rosary.
	She was born January 28, 1898 at Bolo Township, Washington County, Ill., the daughter of Steve and Veronica (Kitowski) Barczewski.  She married Peter Liszewski on September 22, 1914 at DuBois and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1980.
	She is survived by six children, Gertrude Meehan and husband Bill of Millstadt, Marion Liszewski of Todds Mill, Dorothy Prusacki nd husband Ralph of DuQuoin, Pete Liszewski and wife Rita of Radom, Marie Wilga and husband John of Troy, Mo. and John Liszewski and wife Geraldine of DuBois; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Pauline and Elizabeth; sister, Gertrude Anderson; brother, Ignatz Barczewski; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Barnowski Liszewski and great-grandson, Joey Nadolski.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18 at th eSt. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois with Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo officiating.
	Friends called from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.  The Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
	Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery at DuBois.
	Friends may make memorials to Masses or to the St. Charles Renovation Fund.
